November 2020 – MOSAIC Home currently has an opening! Apply HERE.

MOSAIC Home is run by New Westminster Christian Reformed Church. It is a safe place where International students from all over the world can call “home” during their time in Canada. Accommodations are shared with up to seven female residents. It is a wonderful place to make friends and be surrounded by a loving community.

Living in the home requires a commitment of openness to talk and practice activities related to the Christian faith. Tenants are encouraged to participate in worship services on Sunday, share regular meals together, attend MOSAIC Ministry Bible Studies and activities, offer hospitality to guests, and participate in the regular responsibilities of running the home – chores, cooking, set up, etc.

The house has 6 sleeping rooms (one room with double occupancy), four bathrooms (two showers), a kitchen, a quiet study room, and a common living room. The rooms are completely furnished and the bedrooms all have a bed, clean bedding, pillow, desk, chair, dresser, and lamp. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking and serving utensils and appliances.

Fees for accommodations are $500/month. Wireless internet, utilities and the use of a washer and dryer are included in the monthly fee. We also ask for a one-time $250 deposit, which is returned when the resident gives one month’s written notice for moving out and leaving the room clean.

We will accept students for a short-term stay but applicants who plan to live in the house for the full school year are given first priority.

Vision of MOSAIC Home

MOSAIC Home is not just a rental place. Its focus and goals are much more visionary and bigger than this. Each resident must commit to being open to learning what it means to live with Christian disciplines, growing in faith, reaching out to others and being part of a worldwide Christian Church community. We are a house of Christian and non-Christian internationals whose purpose is both inward (growing in community and faith) and outward (with a servant heart like Jesus). With God’s help, residents give their wholehearted commitment to the goals of the MOSAIC Home, represented in attitude and behaviour by faithfulness, availability, teachability, and initiative (with fellow residents, guests, and needs).
