Indonesian Evangelical Church
Since July 2010 the New West congregation began to develop a relationship with the Indonesian Evangelical Church. On Sunday mornings the IEC gathers for worship at 10:00 AM across the street from our church in the John Knox Christian School gymnasium. This recent move by the IEC to our area was an important first step in our relationship. In September 2010 we began combined Sunday School ministry for children ages 3-8. Also, we agreed to have combined worship services on the 5th Sunday of the month followed by a meal together. We are prayerfully discerning how the Lord may be leading us towards the possibilty of joining our congregations.
After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Revelation 7:9-10
This vision from the book of Revelation guides us as we prayerfully seek the leading of God’s Spirit to make us a community of nations, peoples, and languages, that reflect the wonderful unity that is possible through Christ, of diverse peoples and cultures worshiping and serving Him together.

Gereja Injili Indonesia (GII), Vancouver adalah sebuah gereja injilli yang bertujuan untuk menjadi wadah bagi masyarakat Indonesia di Metro Vancouver untuk bertumbuh bersama dalam iman dan melayani sesuai karunia mereka, menjadi terang dunia dan mengabarkan Injil dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Gereja Injili Indonesia, didirikan pada tanggal 20 Desember 1986, mengadakan kebaktian setiap hari Minggu pk. 10.00-11.30 pagi di John Knox Christian School, 8260 13 Avenue, Burnaby, BC V3N 2G5. Kebaktian umum biasanya dilanjutkan dengan makan siang bersama untuk mengakrabkan antar jemaat GII. Sejak September 2010, komisi Sekolah Minggu dan Remaja GII menggabungkan diri dengan New Westminter Christian Reformed Church demi menyediakan wadah pertumbuhan rohani bagi generasi penerus yang lebih terbiasa menggunakan bahasa Inggris ketimbang bahasa Indonesia. Saat ini GII sedang dalam penjajagan untuk bergabung dengan NWCRC. Bentuk lain dari kerjasama kedua gereja adalah diadakannya kebaktian gabungan pada setiap Minggu ke-lima.
