Services in Long-term Care Homes

New West Church volunteers are involved in several area long-term care homes to minister to the residents with singing, prayer, and Scripture. This is a wonderful way for our church to share the love of Christ with seniors. The interaction that takes place is always a source of encouragement for both volunteers and residents. 

• Every third Sunday,a Seniors Service is held at 2:30 pm at
  Harmony Court (previously Canada Way Lodge)
  7197 Canada Way, Burnaby
  Come and join us for an hour of service with the shut-ins there.

• Every fourth Sunday, a service is held to sing and celebrate with the physically handicapped at 3:15 pm at
  Evergreen Hamlets
  15660 84 Avenue, Surrey (park behind the building)

• Every fourth Sunday, a Seniors service is hosted at at 3:00 pm at the
  New Vista Care Home,
  7550 Rosewood Street, Burnaby

Seniors Coffee

Once every month, after the Sunday morning worship service, a family from our church hosts a Seniors Coffee social in their home. Usually anywhere from 10-25 will come together for coffee and a light lunch. If you consider yourself a “senior” you are most welcome to come along. Seniors Coffee Socials are always announced in our weekly bulletin. For the date of the next Seniors Cofee social, contact the office.
