Over the past 3 years, members of our church have traveled down to Honduras to participate in community development in rural villages. In partnership with the CRWRC and the DN, our congregation is working towards a long term partnership with the community of El Coyolar – Tilapa, in the district of Olancho. In this partnership we will work with the community and its members for the long term improvement of education, health, work, discipleship, leadership and beyond.

On March 17 , 2014, a group of Student Dynamics and related individuals will travel to El Coyolar to continue work on showers, pilas, concrete floors and securing a classroom for continuing education. Please remember to pray for their health and that they will build good relationships with our sisters and brothers in Honduras.
In November, 2013, a group of adults went to continue work on latrines, pilas (water basins), and various construction projects. They led workshops in women’s health and nutrition, as well. Pastor Andrew taught Biblical Preaching to 16 local pastors.

Earlier, in March 2011 a team of 8 from our congregation’s youth group, along with several leaders also visited El Coyolar. This was our first visit with the community. Here is a video of that trip:
